I want to share a quick win that completely validated my project.
For months, my daily workflow was broken. As a global communicator, I was constantly context-switching. I had to open new tabs just to fix typos, check my tone, or translate incoming chats on WhatsApp, Slack, Linkedin etc. Existing tools felt like clunky add-ons.
I was sick of standard translators acting as a distraction and grammar tools ignoring multi-language users. So, I built my own solution: voca-translation.com.
🛠️ The Problem I Set Out to Solve
I didn't want another clunky pop-up. I wanted an AI-powered assistant that integrates directly into daily platforms via DOM injection.
Think of it as Grammarly meets real-time translation. Here is what it does in one click:
AI Grammar & Tone Tuning: Fixes multi-language typos instantly. It adjusts your writing tone to sound executive-ready or casual.
In-Context Real-Time Translation: Type in your native language. It translates your outgoing text seamlessly inside the text box as you type.
Incoming Inline Translation: Click an inline badge directly on incoming foreign messages to read them instantly without leaving the app.
🚀 Landing My First 7 Users
I polished the extension, skipped the annoying monthly subscription for a flexible pay-as-you-go model, and pushed it live.
Instead of waiting for perfect SEO, I shared it directly with international remote workers, marketers, and non-native professionals. Right after launch, 7 active users downloaded it. Seeing those first sessions pop up proved I wasn’t the only one with this frustration.
💻 The Tech & What’s Next
The extension runs browser-wide. Building real-time DOM injection to overlay flawlessly across Discord, Notion, and Gmail without slowing down performance was a massive hurdle. It works beautifully now.
Now, my goal is scaling past these first 7 users.

The 7 users are interesting, but probably not for the reason most founders think.
They validate the frustration.
What they don't validate yet is what will make someone keep coming back once the frustration is gone.
Products like this often end up winning on something different from what got the first users through the door.
Maybe.
One thing I've noticed is that usage data has a habit of answering the question founders ask while quietly leaving a different question unresolved.
That's where things usually get interesting.

You've got me thinking. What is the 'unresolved question' you usually see founders miss when they look at early usage data? I want to make sure I'm not building a blind spot into my own analytics.
