For a still new branding studio, is quite hard to acquire customers because we had not much work to show, especially within the startup segment. Although, we had shown that even though a small team, we are aiming to deliver big projects.
When publishing a case study in social media, I get a message afterwards from, Joรฃo, Founder of Bloq.it, asking to meet to discuss their branding challenges.
It's such a nice feeling when the client comes to you, and not the opposite. It must mean you're on the right track, right?
Bloq.it is the fast-growing Smart Locker startup in the world, and like any other startup, sometimes the path changes. We sit down with them and listened to their problems as they were rethinking their branding.
After the problems are written down, it's time to put hands to work, strategize and plan ahead to ensure we know where we are heading to. During 3 months we reworked their website branding and delivered an improved website with the business goals at the core.
A new website, for a smart business.
Today we work with Bloq.it on a monthly basis to keep their branding & website running and growing.
For the curious ones, (check the case study here)[https://www.behance.net/gallery/144057387/Bloqit-Smart-Lockers-for-Smart-Businesses].
Takeaway
Put in the effort as much as you can and when you finish something, don't be afraid to share it with the world. You may land a client you won't expect.

At this point we had done some projects for corporate clients, which were boring. We always wanted to work with and for startups and that dream was realized when one friend referred us to a brazilian early-stage startup, called Izigen.
Izigen has the mission to make renewable energy easily available to consumers.
Due to some characteristics of the business, the entry barrier financially is not easy, and for that reason they needed to raise money. Though, all they had was an idea.
When they met with us, the problem and needs were clear: create an MVP to sell the idea to potential investors.
And off we go, starting with some research sessions, designing the wireframes, heading to the hi-fi designs and finalizing with a clickable prototype. During the process we also did some iterations to their branding and logo.
For the curious ones, check the case study here.

2020, the year of the pandemic for many, but the year where many businesses were created, and Vogal was one of them. With 0 guarantees, 0 capital, we started the journey of the crazy ones. Nothing innovative, but with a pure will to make it happen.

Thanks :) There are a lot of challenges we faced, and still face, to be quite honest. But guess that's one of the things that move us.
Interestingly Vogal started as a software house, then rebranded web & design and now we're established as a branding studio. The challenge here was really to acquire new customers with 0 authority, almost no networking, and 0 references.
I always wanted to quit my full-time job and become independent. Given that I was a developer in the early days of my career, but worked a lot in marketing, a software agency would make some sense right? Nope, didn't work.
Managed to do some gigs in web design & development, because I've done a lot of that previously, so why not rebrand to that? Vogal was like 6-8 months old so. It kinda worked, except that our clients started asking for brand identity design. My designer partner at the time loved the idea.
From there we rebranded a second time and become a brand studio, with a specific offering range.
With all that said ๐ the challenge was to know which direction to follow, and we ended up following the one our clients kinda pointed at.
Even though we're a studio, not a (sexy) startup, we are still on the red line, fighting to grow and keep the studio alive. But that's another challenge :)
Hope that helps in some way. If you have any other questions, go ahead and ask them!
