VOLLEY
The most convenient way to record podcast interviews.
Back in March I tried to create our first website with Webflow but found the learning curve too steep so I switched gears pretty quickly and just bought an HTML template from envato market.
A couple weeks ago I felt the urge to revisit Webflow (was feeling super tired of the site from before) and found it was much easier to pick up the second time around. Faster, responsive, and more modern-looking 👌 Definitely excited to keep using this tool going forward.
We published the first version of the completed Volley app to the Apple app store! Between COVID-19 and us both working full-time jobs, it ended up taking longer than we hoped but it's okay. Neil and I spent hours trying to debug and improve the app without building too much in a vacuum. It's definately not perfect but it works and we're anxious to get it out there and see everyone's reaction.

It took a few months, but we finally finished building the minimum viable product for VOLLEY. Neil and I worked mostly nights and weekends since we both have full-time day jobs. He coded the whole thing in Swift since that's what he's the most comfortable with. In hindsight, there were a few features we included that probably could've waited until later. But I'm excited to start talking to customers and see what they think about the app so far!

Volley was first conceptualized after listening to podcasts like The Indie Hackers Podcast, How I Build This, and a few others, and realized the value of asynchronous conversations in Q&A, story-telling style interviews. We thought having the ability to listen to questions, and respond at your convenience after giving your response adequate thought was incredibly valuable. We spent the next few months researching, bouncing ideas off each other, and most importantly, building :)
