After speaking with a handful of interested people directly over the last few months, we figured it was time to put the idea to the test and see if engineers would resonate with our value proposition just by seeing a landing page (or not).

Late last week we started putting together a landing page and planning where we wanted to launch. We decided to go for BetaList first (https://betalist.com/startups/textvolt), and got listed this morning around 1 am.

So far, we already got 7 waitlist signups!!

Thankfully there was a bunch of articles of best practices through IH on top of Matt and I's prior experience launching a previous MVP products.

Times must have changed since our last time launching, because we quickly got tagged by a BUNCH of other startup directories and launch pages, like BetaPage, Launched.io, Startup Stash, Remote Tools. etc.

Since we just learned about the latter after the initial BetaList launch, I'll keep you posted on the progress of the others as those will most likely launch sometime next week.

Any additional recommended places to launch?

After initially pursuing a different direction, we had a bunch of calls with various businesses and agencies that had experience building into SMS.

Almost all of them highlighted their struggles with switching between SMS providers. We also heard that many of them had to build into multiple providers in order to provide redundancy for their own clients in case of provider downtimes.

This was the first time we began thinking we might be able to solve it ourselves.
