Votura
Self-guided audio tours
Hey IH — I'm Eugene, the founder of Votura, an app that generates custom AI audio walking tours for cities around the world.
The idea is simple: open the app, pick your city, choose how long you want to walk and what you're into (history, architecture, street food, hidden gems, whatever), and Votura builds a narrated route for you on the spot. No fixed itineraries, no group schedules, no overpriced museum guides.
We currently cover 500+ cities, support 12 languages, and work fully offline — so you're not burning through roaming data in the middle of a foreign city.
It's available on iOS and Android.
Where things stand
We've had a few thousand downloads so far, but growth has been slow and mostly organic. I haven't done any paid acquisition yet. The product works well — retention and reviews are solid — but visibility is the bottleneck right now.
What's next
A few things I'm actively working on:
- Building city landing pages for SEO
- Getting listed on more directories and travel platforms
- Experimenting with short-form video showing real tours in real cities
- Running Apple Search Ads for the first time
Would love to hear from anyone who's grown a travel or consumer app — especially around ASO, content, or early partnerships. What worked, what didn't?

About
I was frustrated paying €20 for a mediocre audio tour in a museum while knowing AI could do it better for a fraction of the cost. So I built Votura — AI-powered walking tours for 500+ cities, available instantly, offline

Interesting position to be in.
A few thousand downloads, solid reviews, and slow growth can all coexist for quite a while without making the next decision any clearer.
That's part of what makes situations like this tricky.
