Ski accommodation matching for Niseko, Japan and beyond.
I've spent 7 years in the Niseko ski accommodation industry and one thing always frustrated me: guests end up on Booking.com or Airbnb, filter by price and dates, and hope for the best. But Niseko properties have real trade-offs that those platforms don't surface. One place is ski-in/ski-out but tiny. Another is huge for groups but 10 minutes from the lifts. A third is pure luxury but terrible value for what you get.
So I built Voyera. The core idea is a six-dimension index that maps every property across Luxury, Facilities, Access, Value, Privacy, and Group/Family suitability. Instead of scrolling through listings, guests answer a short quiz about their priorities and get matched to properties by Euclidean distance — basically, how close a property's shape is to their ideal shape.
Stack is Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind, Prisma, and Neon Postgres. Solo dev, bootstrapped, pre-revenue. Currently onboarding the first supplier partners.

Finding ski accommodation is surprisingly difficult because the best option often depends on tradeoffs that never show up in standard filters.
One thing that might happen is guests value different things before and after they've visited a resort once, which can change matching behavior quite a bit.
Have you compared the quiz results against bookings from past guests to see how closely they align?

The thing I'd be careful with is that a better matching system and a stronger buying reason are not necessarily the same thing.
The risk isn't whether the index works. The risk is assuming the thing that makes guests choose is also the thing that makes suppliers want to participate.
That sounds subtle, but it can shape a lot of early decisions.
I wouldn't make that call casually in a thread.
