We've built a new survey platform for the State of JS & CSS surveys, and used it to launch a third survey, the State of GraphQL.

Letter.so also successfully migrated toward Vulcan Next.

We achieve our initial goal of unlocking Vulcan users from the Meteor ecosystem.

January 2020 Start the transition toward Next.js

Vulcan being based on Meteor had been a liability for years, as Meteor was seldom maintained between 2017 and late 2019. Vulcan architecture was very tied to its ecosystem (build system, packages).

Migrating to Next.js, and NPM packages, gave a new breath to Vulcan.

January 2016 Vulcan is born

Vulcan is a framework that gives you a set of tools for quickly building React & GraphQL-based web applications. It can handle data loading, e-mail notifications, automatic form generation, and much more, out of the box.

Vulcan is unique in that it spans the full-stack, from the database to the browser. While there exist many excellent back-end frameworks or backend-as-a-service providers, these all still require you to handle the front-end code yourself, including building a set of components to read, write, and display data.
