Wager
Dice based roguelite game
I'm still in awe of this. Retromation made an amazing (42 minute long) video covering the game and brought a ton of exposure to it.
Not totally sure what Steam's NDA is on numbers, but wishlists more than tripled from low double digits to low hundreds. Sales were sub $100 prior to the video and have also roughly tripled.
This feels like a real milestone in my gamedev career and has made me so excited for the future.
Check it out below if you're curious :)
After lots of testing and mostly waiting (everything has been done for a week) - it's live!
This feels like the real first step for the game and I'm excited to see where it goes from here. Marketing is hard.

Due to the Steam store delays and review processes, I was able to launch Wager first on Itch.io!
Itch is a smaller community, but still a place to gain visibility and offer gamers a non Steam option.
A day or two later it made its first sale! Very appreciative to whoever you are :)

After three months of development, it's live on Steam!
But what is it actually about?
A hacker known as goose has compromised your PC with ransomware. Can you make enough coins to pay him off in his game of dice?
Find combinations - Which items and passive bonuses work best together?
Strategy options - Choose a different path to victory...or defeat, each time.
Roguelite elements - Randomized events, items, and passive bonuses you can get are different each time.
If that sounds like it's up your alley, toss it a wishlist!

I wanted to make a game similar to Luck to be a Landlord with a tight ~3 month window to do it. This is the result!

That's awesome!! Congrats on this :) Do you know how the streamer got attention to your game?
Thanks! I really have no idea - the game essentially got put back in Steam's 'just released' category which was probably how they found it. A while back I reached out to 10-15 by email and I don't think any of them covered it.
