February 12, 2026 I built Wakemap so I could sleep on the bus without missing my stop

Hi Indie Hackers!

I just launched Wakemap, a GPS-based alarm app.

The idea came to me because I was tired of the "commuter anxiety" – that feeling of not being able to fully relax or nap on public transport because you're afraid of oversleeping and missing your destination.

How it works:

Instead of a regular clock alarm, you set a location and a distance (radius). The alarm only goes off when you actually get close to your stop. It doesn't matter if there’s traffic or delays; the GPS knows exactly where you are.

Why I’m sharing this:

I've just released the Android version and I'm looking for some honest feedback from this community. I’m especially interested in:

Does the interface feel intuitive?

How is the battery consumption on your devices?

You can check it out on the Play Store

Thanks for reading and I’d love to hear your thoughts!
