Voyalist
Explore the world, together
I think something roughly like this is more like what we will go for. It's post centric with the idea that you have Trips as a high level construct. The trips can be to multiple places. There can be journal entries, photos, and locations associated with trips. The trips are sorted on your profile by general time.
I think something that is confusing here is that I am flip flopping a lot on what this should be. I think it should be centered around planning, or lists, or then the profile. I think what is most truthful is that I want it to be travel journaling. Something that combines all your travel writing into a really cool profile that is geo enabled. I'm going to directly work on that.
We've updated the landing page to more accurately reflect what we'd like to do with Voyalist! If you love to travel do check it out, I'd love to know if you'd be a user and also what you'd like to see. We are hoping to put together some basic functionality over few weeks and start bringing anyone interested into the system.
Starting another project? That's okay. This one's with a friend! We're still defining what we're building exactly but the main idea that inspired it is an app that lets you share where you've been, and where you want to go! You can compare lists with your friends so that you can easily see amongst a group of people where would be fun places to go, and you'll also know for each place when the best time to go is. If you want to plan a trip in the Spring with certain people, you can find some candidates really easily!
