Watchphile
Finding the best movie/tv series tailored for you!
Hey everyone, I hope everything doing well :)
After I launched the website, I decided to add a blog page and now it is finally ready 🎉
You can find the most popular movies and tv shows' reviews in there! Also, our first movie review (Nightmare Alley) is ready. At the same time, I started to share posts on the Watchphile's Instagram account.
We're working hard on the Android project which is near the end. I hope my next post will be about it.
To put it in a nutshell, we're so excited and would like to share with you!
Stay tuned!

Hi, happy new year to everyone!
I'm so happy to announce that the Watchphile website is ready!
After 1-month working hard on the website, I've changed the design at the same time I've worked with the animation video designer, finally, the website is launched and ready to collect the emails. Let's join the Watchphile waitlist, when the app is ready you're gonna get the email from me!
I can't wait to hear your thoughts about the website as well as the animation video.
I've been working on the mobile side. I'm gonna share the updates regularly, wish me luck and stay tuned!
Have a great day!

Hi everyone, I hope everyone doing well 😌
I've been thinking to create my own apps for a while(I've created some apps before but I couldn't fully dedicate myself), finally, I am able to start my journey and I'd like to share with you!
When I try to find something to watch on Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. every time I feel stuck in a rut. Because can't decide what to watch even I have an idea what to watch then I asked my friends if they watched it or search for online reviews. Then I thought, if I face this problem, I might be not the only one who has this problem and asked my friends to check if they feel the same and researched this problem which showed me 'People spend 25 min each day to decide what to watch which means 152 hours every year!'. So it's a common problem and I decided to create 'Watchphile'* to solve this problem.
*Watchphile(watch-phile) is inspired by cinephile(cine-phile) which means someone likes watching something like tv series, movies, etc. Watchphile will be a mobile application that recommends personalized movies& TV series and show reviews of them.
I've been working on Watchphile for 2 weeks and completed the page's design, I've been working on the landing page. I can't wait to share it with you all.
Stay tuned!

Best of luck with this.
Some personal insight.
I use Letterboxd and TV Time to note down the movies and TV shows that I watch.
I use the inspiration sometimes from these apps as well.I use Justwatch to figure out where to stream something that I do want to watch.

This is cool! A student of mine recently told me their idea and I think it may fit with your product! The idea is an app, where friends can watch things together, comment, discuss, etc. Watchphile could and will be a mobile application that recommends personalized movies & TV series. As well, as show reviews from their peers, show who's watching live and on what platform, trivia about said movie or show and gives people the option to leave timestamps in inspiring/important/ or cool parts!
Hi JYaeger,
Thank you very much and so sorry for the very late reply! Nowadays, we're now putting in a lot of effort on the iOS side.
Your student idea is fantastic, and when we initially thought about the Watchphile, we thought we could add the future, which is similar to what you told us.
We're thrilled to announce the first version of Watchphile!
Keep an eye out!
