waxTable - AI Proposal Generator

Generate Branded Proposals/Quotations

August 12, 2026 I’m building an AI Proposal Generator because proposals are still painfully manual

One of the strangest things I’ve noticed while working with service businesses is how much work goes into winning a deal before the actual work even starts.

A client sends an email or WhatsApp message with a rough requirement.

Then someone has to:

→ Understand what the client actually wants
→ Figure out the scope
→ Decide what to charge
→ Write the proposal
→ Format everything
→ Apply the company branding
→ Create a PDF
→ Send it
→ Follow up
→ Eventually turn it into a contract/invoice

For a small agency or service business, this can easily consume hours.

And the frustrating part? The next project starts from almost the exact same process — but the scope is different, so copying an old template only gets you so far.

That’s why we’re building waxTable.

The idea

waxTable is an AI Proposal Generator built specifically for service businesses.

Instead of starting with a template, you give our AI agent, Waxe, a description of the project. It can reason through the requirements and generate a customized proposal around the business's brand, services and pricing.

The goal is simple:

Turn days of proposal work into minutes.

But we don't want to stop at proposals.

The same workflow applies to contracts, scopes of work, invoices, pitch decks, reports and other business documents. So we're gradually turning waxTable into an AI workspace for the entire journey from “the client contacted me” → “the deal is signed.”

The interesting challenge

The hard part isn't generating text.

LLMs can already write pretty good text.

The difficult part is generating something that is actually useful for a business — understanding the context, making sensible assumptions, structuring the scope, getting pricing right, following brand guidelines, and producing a document that someone can confidently send to a real client.

That's where we're spending most of our time.

We're also deliberately trying to avoid the “AI wrapper + textbox” approach. We want Waxe to behave more like a junior proposal specialist who understands the business and gets the work done.

What I'm trying to learn

We're still early, so I'd genuinely love feedback from other founders here.

If you run an agency, consultancy, development shop, design studio, marketing business, construction company, or any other service business:

How much time do you currently spend creating proposals?

And more importantly:

What part of the process would you never trust AI to handle?

That's the part I'm most interested in learning.

We're building waxTable at waxtable.com, but right now I'm much more interested in talking to people who have experienced the problem than collecting signups.

What would you want an AI proposal generator to do that existing proposal tools don't?

About

We’re building waxTable because creating proposals is still far too slow and repetitive. Service businesses spend hours — sometimes days — understanding a project, calculating pricing, writing scopes, formatting document
