WebNFC
Read and write NFC tags from your browser!
Got an alert this morning for a sudden spike in traffic for WebNFC tool I built some time ago. Went to check the analytics and saw that there was a lot of traffic coming from news.ycombinator.com.
Went to check the Hacker News website, and there was an article on the front page, where someone had posted a link to my tool. Here is the thread:

Pretty cool!
After thinking about this project a little bit, I decided I wanted to make this project completely open source.
I have been very excited about this NFC API for a few years now, and have been long waiting for it to be released to public.
Now that the Web NFC is available in Chrome Beta for Android, I decided to bring the power of this API for everyone.

Been closely following the development of web nfc and finally decided to start playing around the initial API which is in trial for Chrome 81 beta on Android.
The purpose of this project is to bring those capabilities for everyone, so we all can read and write tags as much as we want.

This looks pretty cool!! I have an idea for NFC but not sure how to implement it. Wondered if you could direct me or if your tool could make it happen.
Essentially I want to trigger someone’s phone (in a retail setting) with an nfc tag... to prompt them to share their contact info. Then write that to a google sheet, ultimately transferring it into a crm.
Am I crazy or is this possible lol. TIA Amber
