Work from anywhere and find the latest remote tech jobs with
On Tuesday we launched weCode Remote on Hacker News. We did this slightly low key, but wanted to test things out and ensure we didn't mess anything up, and there's no better place to do it!
We managed to get about 300 views on the site and a few people signed up for the newsletter 🎉
We managed to do it with a day to spare! 6 days of coding, polishing and testing the code, and now the minimum viable product for weCode Remote is ready to go. The site has been built in React to allow us the scalability that we will eventually need down the line, plus it's what we're both most comfortable with - so it was a no brainer! Because we have a 8hr time difference between Belfast and Portland, we spent my lunch times and @ThePaulMcBride's evenings getting it all completed, now I can start eating lunch again.

After working on BoardRocket for a number of months, the job market has been somewhat obliterated. However, myself and @ThePaulMcBride still needed a way to test what we built and weCode Remote was born! We decided to give ourselves a week to turn things around from idea to launch, so... 1,2,3... GO!

About
We are passionate about remote working and with it being the new normal for 2020 (and now beyond), we decided the best way to start testing what we had built with BoardRocket, would be to launch a job board!
