WellBread
Improve your home baking with science
I should have done this way earlier, but I've finally set up a marketing site and a mailing list to gather interest in our baking app.
I used Eleventy and Hylia with the Netlify CMS starter project. It's been really easy to work with! My mailing list is MailChimp which has been so-so, but I was able to configure everything the way I wanted. The stack is totally free at the moment, which is great while I'm without revenue.
I haven't added analytics yet - I'd like to keep it minimal, but each provider seems to have different strengths (e.g. mixpanel vs GA vs FullStory) so we'll see how it goes.
My wife and I got into sourdough baking along with everyone else during the pandemic, and we absolutely loved it! We were baking a loaf every day, not to mention, pretzels, pizza, bagels, English muffins, crumpets, naan, focaccia, ...the list goes on.
But I kept forgetting to stretch my dough at the right times, either because I was in the zone working or because I have to take care of three kids.
I also had some really bad loaves early on, and kept making slight tweaks to my recipes to get things just right.
So my wife and I started building WellBread to help home bakers like us record our baking and iterate like a scientist.
