Play 150+ classic DOS game titles in browser
Strategy games are a popular genre of video games that challenge players to use careful planning and decision-making. These games require a player’s strategic thinking to influence the game's outcome, making them distinct from action-packed or luck-based genres. Unlike many other games, where quick reflexes may be paramount, strategy games demand insight and foresight to manage resources and navigate complex challenges.

WePlayDOS is a platform I created out of a passion for classic DOS games and a desire to make them easily accessible to everyone. Remember those nostalgic days spent playing Doom, The Oregon Trail, and Commander Keen? While these games shaped a generation, getting them to run on modern systems is often a complex, frustrating task.
The Problem:
As technology evolved, the compatibility issues with running DOS games on contemporary systems grew, making it challenging for many to relive those experiences. Setting up emulators like DOSBox involves multiple steps, configurations, and troubleshooting—far from the seamless gaming experience we once enjoyed.
The Solution: WePlayDOS
I built WePlayDOS to solve this problem by making these beloved games instantly playable in your browser. No downloads, no setup, just pure retro gaming fun. We currently offer over 150 classic titles, and I’m continuously working to expand the library. You can dive right into timeless classics like Prince of Persia, SimCity 2000, or Wolfenstein 3D.
What I Do?
My role extends beyond just developing the platform. I’m actively involved in enhancing the user experience, adding new features, and engaging with the community to gather feedback. This is a community-driven project, and your input plays a crucial role in shaping the future of WePlayDOS.
What’s Next?
I'm committed to making WePlayDOS open source soon, allowing you to create your own "DOS cabinets" and even host them yourself. Features like cloud saves and netplay are also on the horizon, aiming to bring modern conveniences to these classic games.
