Build mobile apps with whacka. From an idea to a real

June 29, 2026 From 0 to 27,000 users and 500 paying customers in under 4 months

Whacka launched in March 2026. Four months in, here's where things stand:

  • 27,000+ total users

  • 500+ paying customers

  • Freemium model: free tier (24 credits/month) → Starter $9 → Pro $29 → Ultra $79

The conversion rate from free to paid has been the most interesting signal. We didn't optimize for it early — the paying users showed up before we had a proper upgrade flow. Most of them came from MENA and LATAM, which confirmed the hypothesis that there's real demand in markets where building a mobile app is otherwise out of reach for a small business owner.

The core insight driving the product: the problem isn't "people can't code." It's that the output of most no-code tools is still a web dashboard, not something that lives on a phone. A PWA that installs to the home screen and gets shared over WhatsApp is a fundamentally different artifact than a Notion page or a Webflow site. That gap is what Whacka sits in.

What's working: Arabic-language generation has driven organic word-of-mouth in the Gulf. Users share the apps they build with their customers, and those customers sometimes sign up to build their own.

What's not obvious yet: whether the credit-based pricing model is the right long-term structure, or whether we should move toward per-app or per-seat pricing as use cases mature.
