What's the Deal with Podcasting?
A book comparing podcasting and stand-up comedy
Today, I launched the book on Product Hunt. I streamed the launch on of the book on Twitch, Twitter, and Periscope. I created the GIF for the launch during the stream while video chat with THE Brendan Weinstein

I first announced the book in April. After all this time I officially released the book to the public. I live-streamed the pressing of "The Big Red Button" on YouTube, Twitch, and Twitter for my audience to watch will I released the book and made finishing touches https://blog.openpodcast.xyz/podcast-book/
Got my second pre-order sale for the book.Feels great. The release date isn’t until July 31st. I have plenty of time to get more pre-orders. Everyday I tweet out a preview of a chapter with a link to the book. Someone bought a pre-order copy of the book. My first sale, for $3. That got them a link to the Google Drive folder with every chapter of the book. They can see everything I have written and everything else I have left to write. There isn't a lot left though, 6 chapters, out of ~25.
I set up the Gumroad account to start taking pre-orders. On this day I officially announced that I was writing a book. In my mind, at this point, there was no turning back. I had told people privately but not in public. At the same time pre-orders is a form of validation.
