I kept buying things at full price and watching them drop 40% a week later. The annoying part is that it's predictable, most brands run the same sales in roughly the same weeks every year. That information exists, it's just scattered, so I put it in one place, brand by brand.
whenissale.com: search a clothing brand, see its whole sale year: when each sale usually starts and ends, how deep the discounts go, and how long until the next one. Separate UK and US calendars, because the sale years genuinely differ. Every date is an estimate with a confidence level attached; pretending to know the exact day would be nonsense.
Solo build, Next.js + Postgres, free, no accounts. Affiliate links eventually — right now I just want to know if people trust it enough to come back.
The channel is SEO, since it's a search-shaped problem ("when is the Zara sale"), and demand spikes from early October for Black Friday. So I've got about eight weeks.
Two things I'd like feedback on:
1. Would you actually check this before buying, or is the wait-for-the-sale instinct not strong enough to change behaviour?
2. Does putting a confidence level on a date make it more trustworthy, or does it just make you doubt the whole thing?

The interesting assumption here isn't whether people like knowing sale dates—it's whether they'll actually change a purchase because of that information.
From the people who've tried it so far, are you seeing them use WhenIsSale before they've decided to buy, or after they've already found an item and are trying to decide whether to wait?
