Will This Happen

The very essence behind Will This Happen has always been that it's a service people should discover by searching for it. In fact the name was picked from what people search most for (cheers Google Trends).

This meant that I decided to spend zero on marketing with no social media account in sight. What I didn't account for was Google refusing to list my site as the data was processed in JS rather than on the server in PHP. Cue a month of rewriting and am pleased to say Will This Happen is now (finally) visible on Google!

When I first launched Will This Happen. There was absolutely no automation. The idea was to see if anyone would actually want to use it, so every morning I'd wake up 25 minutes early to discover and input the data I needed. As you might imagine, after 4 months my will was finally broken and I automated the process.

I am no expert in backend data processing. but boy was I a whole lot less of an expert before developing Will This Happen. Working with APIs to automatically gather, process and compute the data required for the platform was a crazy journey, but am really pleased to have released something which is now incredibly stable...touch wood.

We're living in a crazy, you might say uncertain, time. It is almost impossible to know what is going to happen next in the world of politics. Will This Happen uses unique Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms to combine a wide range of factors, like betting odds and people's online reaction to events, to build a picture of how probability is changing.

The future can be rewritten.
