Wise Charlie

I have spent quite a bit of time on Indiehacker platform updating my progress on the project, redesigning the website, asking for feedback and placing automation in place to start operating.

Indiehacker tweeted my post last week which helped me gain 12 new subscribers. I have also been doing a follow-up with new social media followers and if they find the project worth while, I ask them to sign-up for a newsletter.

Overall spending time on Indiehacker and personal follow-ups led to this milestone.

Creating and publishing newsletter has always felt exhausting. More time is spent on designing the newsletter. So, I wanted to explore alternative solution. Enter Notion. Using Notion has simplified the process by storing the relevant content which is yet not ready to publish. Simple design and more focus on content creation. And easy to publish when ready. I have created a template here https://www.notion.so/wisecharlie/WISE-CHARLIE-Newsletter-1-f9ea3d5265634bc081ede29bd179e5d4 which I will be sending out to the newsletter members soon.

I custom wrote the code for Wise Charlie website and used Gatsby for blogging. But the maintenance was getting out of hand. Decided to use webflow for landing page and CMS for content. Easy to maintain and work on important things such as revenue and content generation.
