WishIT
Your stories, Your people, Your way
A few days ago I was digging through an old Netlify account and found the birthday website I built by hand for someone I cared about. Click-to-open envelope, a typed-out message, photos revealing themselves one by one. No product, no plan, just how much effort I was willing to put in for one person.
That site is the actual origin of WishIT.
I kept thinking about how that feeling of someone going out of their way to make you feel seen without knowing how to code. Most people who want to do that for someone don't have a developer on call. So I built the thing I wish existed: no-code tribute pages anyone can make in minutes.
Two years in:
Went live in August 2025
155+ users, 85+ countries organic reach
Shipped WishArena (community hub) in under a week for the FIFA World Cup
Just wrapped a full anniversary push — film, docs site, notification system, the works
Now shifting out of pure build-mode into marketing, SEO, partnerships
Happy to answer anything about the tech stack, the community features, or how I've been thinking about monetization timing. Building in public from here.
About
WishIT exists because I built something for one person, by hand, out of love and realized there was no easy way for anyone else to do the same. I made a birthday site for someone I cared about: a hidden message, photos
