Wisssh
Get the Gifts You Actually Want.
I’ve been building a SaaS called Wisssh (a simple wishlist + group contribution tool for gifts and occasions).
I first posted here around pre-launch and again shortly after launching.
Since then, I’ve shipped a few updates and gotten a small number of new users, but I wanted to share where things actually stand right now:
Still $0 revenue
A handful of signups from direct outreach (mostly Facebook)
Some product improvements shipped based on early feedback
What I changed recently
I improved a few core flows around creating and sharing wishlists, and made onboarding a bit smoother based on where users were dropping off.
What surprised me
People are signing up… but not really using the product.
A lot of users create accounts, but don’t go on to actually create a wishlist or share anything.
That was unexpected because I assumed that since it’s free, the friction to try it would be very low.
My wrong assumption
I assumed usage would naturally follow signups because there’s no payment barrier.
But I’m realizing that “free” doesn’t equal “motivated.”
If there’s no immediate reason or trigger (like an upcoming birthday, wedding, etc.), users just don’t act—even if the product is simple.
What didn’t move
Revenue is still at zero.
Not surprising, since I haven’t really focused on monetization yet—I’ve been more focused on getting people to actually use it first.
What I think is happening
It feels less like a pricing problem and more like a “timing + intent” problem.
People don’t wake up needing a wishlist tool unless there’s a specific event driving it.
So I might be solving a “real problem,” but at the wrong moment.
What I’m thinking next
Right now I’m considering:
Focusing more on distribution around events (birthdays, weddings, holidays)
Testing ways to trigger usage immediately after signup
Improving activation so users reach “first wishlist created” faster
Still early, still figuring it out.
If you’ve built something where users sign up but don’t activate—how did you fix it?
A while ago, I shared that I was building Wisssh.
Yesterday, it was officially launched.
The idea came from something simple:
Giving gifts should feel special… but most of the time it turns into guessing.
“What do you want?”
“Anything is fine”
And then people end up receiving things they don’t really want.
So I built Wisssh.
A simple way to:
– Create your wishlist
– Share it with friends
– Actually get gifts you want
No stress. No awkward guessing.
Since building, I’ve focused on:
– Making wishlist sharing effortless
– Keeping the experience clean and fast
– Removing friction from the gifting flow
This is just the beginning, and I’d really love your feedback.

If you’ve ever struggled with gifting (or built something in this space), I’d love to hear your thoughts 🙏

I’m building Wisssh — a platform that helps people share what they actually want and makes gifting simple and stress-free.
The idea came from a simple insight: giving gifts should feel special, but guessing what someone wants is stressful, and traditional wishlists aren’t fun or easy to use.
Wisssh lets users create, share, and explore wishlists for birthdays, holidays, or any special moment—while making it simple for friends and family to pick the perfect gift.
Right now, I’m focused on improving:
How wishlists are shared and discovered
Making the gifting flow smooth and reliable
Adding features that make special moments more memorable
Would love feedback from anyone who’s struggled with gifting, built social/product apps, or has ideas for making wishlists more fun and useful!
