Wlcm Guide
Online guest guides + automation for vacation rentals.
So excited about this. WlcmGuide.com is up, looking great, and client-ready! I've had a functional version since the MVP, but I just wasn't comfortable selling with the precious design but we're there now!
Sales are kicking off, hope to have some bigger news in the near future.
Today one of my first trial customers for Wlcm Guide converted to paid. I noticed when I got the email from Stripe that said "Your Wlcm Guide order has been received!". Yearly, a reoccurring customer with two properties! We're still in the Beta version, but it's great to collect the initial payment. Time to refine and market to the larger markets!

It took 4 weeks, but I'm finally done building the minimum viable product for Wlcm Guide. I worked mostly nights and weekends, and I coded the whole thing in a custom Wordpressd build since that's that I'm the most comfortable with. In hindsight, there were a few features I built that probably could've waited until later, and some that have already been axed, but I'm excited to start talking to customers and see what they think about the product so far!

I've been traveling all day to from LA to Charleston, there's a lay over, and I finally got to the AirBNB at 1030pm, where can I get some delicious food close by before kitchens close at 11? This ended with some sad bar food.

I'm with 10 friends in a vacation rental in the Catskills, and someone burned a pizza and the house is filling up with smoke. Where's the alarm? Whats the phone number for the fire station? Aaaaand where is the welcome guide? One of my friend's apparently moved it. This ended with 3 fire trucks and a very concerned home owner.

I'm in Paris, and just want a restaurant locals actually go to, but I want something romantic, and not crazy expensive. Also, I'm out walking around and don't have the owners recommendations with me. This ended with aimlessly walking around and ending up at a very disappointing restaurant.

I live in NYC and know that "tourist NYC" is VERY different than New Yorker's NYC. Where are the real spots that the locals love? This ends with people in Times Square, you should never go to Times Square unless you're seeing a play.

I'm in Denver CO in July and it's freezing in the house, and no one can find the thermostat. This ended with AC cranked for 3 days straight, which was not great for the person paying the electric bill.
Okay, I think everyone sees where this is going. This is a huge problem for the 10mm+ vacation rentals in the world, and we should have a much better answer for this. Let's make something simple, sharable, incredibly helpful and on every guest's phone immediately upon arrival.
