I - very accidentally - found a bunch of YouTube tutorials on how to use my WordCloud app. It's crazy! :))
I got an actual physical present from my happy customers! With my WordCloud printed on it! How cool is that?!
Seeing that I have a lot of users (150K per month by that time), but not enough many in-app purchases, I added ads.
I didn't want to do that for a long time, but, well, one has to earn their living...
I released a new in-app purchase: Love-themed shapes package, just in time for Valentine's day.
Inspired by the success of the Halloween in-app purchase, I made another one, called Winter Fun - for Christmas, New Year, Hanuka and all these winter holidays.
I implemented more shape packages; but also a purchase which lets you to export a large image. This one took off very well.
Renaming the app really helped! By this point, I already had 1M installs, around 100K new ones per month.
So I decided maybe I could get a bit of money from that? Who knows?
I implemented in-app purchases.
First one was Halloween shape package.
And it worked! People really wanted to buy what I was offering! Incredible.
Seeing that it takes me a long time to publish something that's almost ready, I pushed myself to do it sooner. I wrote an article about this learning:
