WordHuddle MVP is ready for players/feedback

WordHuddle is a puzzle-per-day game in the style of Wordle, but based on hangman / Wheel of Fortune type gameplay, instead of Word Mastermind.

The front-end is plain JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, using jQuery and Bootstrap and one animation library. The back-end is Python Flask running on a DigitalOcean droplet.

The planned business model is a combination of Ko-Fi donation and getting additional content for making a donation.

My feedback is that running by donation isn't a business model.

Well, here's my thought. The first thing is to see if the game is good/addictive enough that it can grow an audience. At least that's how it seems to me. If I show ads and ask for donations/unlocking up front, that just confounds the question of whether the game could ever grow.

If it does grow, at that point I can ad ads, and also offer people the option of paying to unlock all the old puzzles. So it's freemium.

I realize this doesn't fit into the standard IH model of validating an idea by trying to sell it first. But it's hard to ask people "Would you a dollar or two for extra content in this game?" without giving them a chance to come to enjoy the game first.

I realize this is a shot in the dark to some extent. But I did learn more about writing a web app so it was valuable to me in either case.

But in terms of business model, do you have any other ideas for this particular type of thing?
