3 months ago I started building WordlyPlay — a multiplayer version of Wordle. The original Wordle gives you 1 puzzle per day. I wanted unlimited games + the ability to battle friends head-to-head.

🔧 Tech stack: PHP, vanilla JavaScript, MySQL, WebSockets. Zero frameworks. Zero dependencies. Hosted on Hostinger for $4/month.

🎮 What it does:

• Unlimited Wordle puzzles (Easy, Medium, Hard)

• Real-time 1v1 battles with friends or random opponents

• Daily challenge — same word for everyone, global leaderboard

• Timer mode for speed freaks

• Gems, power-ups, cosmetic shop

• Live chat during battles

📊 Current stats:

• Fully live and playable

• 5 game modes

• 105 blog posts for SEO

• Mobile-responsive, works everywhere

💡 Biggest lesson: On-page SEO alone isn't enough. I'm now focused on building backlinks and domain authority, which is the real bottleneck for organic growth.
