Workey
Freelance invoicing, contracts, emails & AI.
Backstory: I'm a freelancer. For two years I was paying for Bonsai ($25/mo) mostly
to send invoices and the occasional contract. I kept thinking "I'm paying agency
prices for a feature set I use 10% of."
So I built Workey. It's not trying to be everything Bonsai is — it's the get-paid
loop, done well, at $10/mo:

- Time tracking → generate the invoice → Workey emails it from my name → auto-chases
late payers on day 3/7/14
- Contracts with e-signatures, IP/timestamp audit trail, no separate tool
- A client portal — one link for a client to see every invoice and contract, no login
- An AI command bar — I type "invoice Acme for March" and it just does it

Free plan has no credit card and isn't a crippled trial — it's a real tier (1 active
project, 5 client emails/month). Starter is $10/mo, Pro is $20/mo.

What I'd love feedback on:
1. If you've used Bonsai/HoneyBook/Harvest — what made you stay, or what pushed you
to look for something else?
2. Is $10/mo the right number, or does that undersell it?
3. What's the one feature that would make you actually switch?
Not here to just drop a link and disappear — genuinely want the "this doesn't work
for me because ___" feedback more than the compliments.
About
I built Workey because it helps me first, as a freelancer — no tool I tried ever made getting paid easy. Workey has everything I need: analytics, timesheets, hours tracking, invoicing, and e-signatures.

The pricing isn't the interesting part—the buying trigger is. Freelancers rarely switch to save $15/month. They switch when one product owns the entire "finish work → get paid" workflow with less friction than stitching together multiple tools. I'd keep validating whether Workey is competing with Bonsai's feature list or eliminating the administrative overhead that freelancers resent most.
One thing I'm still deciding: whether to add a lightweight CRM layer or stay
disciplined about NOT becoming Bonsai-with-extra-steps. Curious where people
draw that line.
