Curated YouTube channels worth your time

June 19, 2026 I built WorthWatch to make useful YouTube channels easier to find

I kept running into the same problem: finding genuinely useful YouTube channels often took more time than actually watching them.

Search and recommendation systems tend to prioritize popularity, recent engagement, thumbnails, and trends. That works well for entertainment, but it can make high-quality educational and informational channels surprisingly difficult to discover.

I built WorthWatch as an independent editorial layer for YouTube discovery.

The site currently curates channels across learning, technology, finance, engineering, documentary, exploration, and automotive. Each channel can include a concise editorial verdict — Best for, Strength, and Consider if — while topic guides include quick comparisons to help people choose between channels more easily.

WorthWatch does not rank channels by subscriber count alone, and creators cannot pay for placement. The goal is to help people spend less time searching and make better viewing choices.

The product is still early, and I would especially value feedback on:

• whether the positioning is immediately clear

• whether the channel verdicts are genuinely useful

• whether the quick comparison sections help with choosing a channel

• what categories or discovery features would add the most value
