February 4, 2021 I'm still going!

I've been trying to ship a product or a service for at least a decade. The pattern of failure is the same. I get excited about an idea, buy a domain and make a prototype.

Then life happens, work, family (or both) and I lose momentum and the idea withers and dies.

This time is different. I'm really close to launching my MVP.

I'm moving over some WordPress sites that I manage for customers and (almost) ready to start accepting signups directly from the website.

This product has merit and I'm going to get to it market so it can start making people's WordPress sites faster and more secure.

Are you still working on this project?

September 4, 2020 Chose a name, started work on MVP

I have a tendency to obsess over project names and architecture rather than just cracking on and building it. Then after a few weeks, with little or no momentum, I lose interest in the idea and the project withers and dies.

This time I tried to not over-think the name and instead focus on building a real MVP without getting hung up on future-proofing and implementation details that may never be relevant.

I've got a working prototype and an almost-acceptable public site for the project! Now to finish the MVP and get it out the door.

WordPress powers 30% of the web. It's powerful and wonderful, but easy to misconfigure. This can lead to hacked sites or slow performance. WP Stoic publishes WordPress as static site for security and high performance.
