Curated WordPress themes in the style of popular websites
I know there is a very saturated market of coupon sites and hosting review referral sites; this space is crowded and doesn't really need one more of these.
However, I felt it was good to have such a page to refer users to from a series of detailed beginner guides I'm currently researching and writing. It didn't take much effort and may prove useful to keep people on the site, maybe even get a few affiliate sales.
This side project is a great way for me iterate, test, build and improve while, most importantly, learning a lot.
In the last months working on it, I've learned Jekyll, HTML & SCSS, a bit of SEO, coding best practices, page speed optimization and lots, lots more. Things I wouldn't have thought I'd be getting my hands into. I'm a designer, not a developer, yet I've created a mini grid system, learned to do version control with GitHub, host on Netlify and even connected a gorgeous visual CMS for all content via Forestry. Also, ❤️ Jekyll once more.
I guess having a side project you love working on is a great way of getting out of your comfort zone. Even if it doesn't get millions of views and thousands in revenue.

In order to promote the main website, I've created a no-bullshit compact list of all companies that sell WordPress themes. Sorted alphabetically, with all clean SVG logos. I genuinely think it could come useful for people exploring theme shops.
In the future, I may add tags to them so users can filter by, for example, purpose (eCommerce, blogs, portfolios etc).
But for now, I would like to gather feedback and improve this. 😇

I came up with the idea while helping a friend look for a medium-style WordPress theme and I've noticed numerous Google suggestions for "wp themes like..." and quite a good deal number of similar Quora posts.
I try my best to research and pick relevant themes based on their likeliness with popular sites in terms of both design and features they offer.

Nice job!
I'd add some more content to your "theme like x" pages. It will be hard to rank without some long form content, and it should be pretty easy to write (for example, reviews, setup guides, etc).

You're definitely right, but I feel I should find another place for long-form stuff, as my goal is to keep things in the main section kinda bullshit-free, concise and non-spammy. Still thinking about how to meet both ends...

How's your traffic going so far? Have you managed to make any headway with SEO (I imagine that would be your main traffic source)

This page is new, so there's no data coming in right now. As for the rest of the website, it's slowly picking up organic searches around 5-10 a day. It's pretty bad, even though I've made like all SEO optimizations I knew about. I'm pretty sure I need a lot more long articles.
