February 27, 2023 I created a new product by deleting code

Having been working on another analytic platform for more than 9 years, I realized that there is a gap when it comes to WordPress analytics platforms that are: self-hosted (private), easy to install, performant, have more than basic features and are actively maintained and supported.

UXWizz evolved to be a feature-packed platform that has increased in price over time to match the feature set, and also might be too resource intensive at times (when heatmaps and full session recordings are used). I then had the idea to make a simpler, more performant and affordable WordPress-only analytics platform based on UXWizz.

This helps with:

  • Focusing on a niche where the target audience is more obvious and easier to reach (WordPress users)
  • Increasing performance - by removing the most resource-intensive features
  • Increasing privacy - by restricting the number of tracking features available
  • Having deeper integrations with the WordPress ecosystem
  • Make the installation even easier

This is how WPLytic was born.
Version 1.0.0 has just been released in December 2022, and I'm now looking for early adopters to test the platform and gather some feedback.

I am currently running a limited lifetime deal offer for a few more weeks for the early adopters.

    Looks interesting!
I understand you are using a one time fee because it's selfhosted but it also makes the price be pretty high. Do you find it hard to convince people to buy? What on your website do you think helps you the most to convince people to buy this as opposed other free or smaller priced solutions?

      Hi Stoic,

Based on what existing customers are saying, the price is not "pretty high", many commented that it's a steal at this price.

I do plan to introduce different tiers in the future, the current offering is not only for the highest tier but also with lifetime updates included (in the future the updates will be paid, so pricing will be one-time + paid updates).

I haven't seen any comparable free solutions, maybe Matomo, but that's a lot bulkier/more complex/older than WPLytic.
