⚍ The best damn tool for online content curation.
I do not know about you, but it is really hard to build a product and keep focus while at the same time the world around spins at a higher speed than normal.
And yes, of course I talk about GPT-4 now, as – holy mother of all – this changes everything!
It's Pandora's Box littered with shiny object syndrome clusters, wrapped in a monkey brain:
- Should I include AI functionality already in the first version?
- Should the AI module be a premium module?
- Should I consider rebuilding part of my SAAS with AI?
- Maybe my whole idea was wrong and now that I consulted Chat-GPT, I know it for sure: it has to involve knitting so that I address a more specific niche...
I sometimes wonder if it is better to shut off all Indie Hackers, Product Hunt, Reddit and other notifications of new tech and just go in solitude to build. Perhaps just having that mindset makes it easier to focus on what it is about really: shipping version 1.
But darn... that GPT-4 world has a strong gravity!
How are you coping??
The funny thing is... I registered the domains for wrample way back. Like waaaaayyyy back. In December 2007 to be exact.
And now we're here 2023. It is now that I finally put things in motion, it is now that I start working on bringing wrample beyond the confines of my local applications, to make it publicly available as a service.
Let's go!

What are you working on currently? I think it's important not to give into the AI hype if there's nothing about your tool that would be improved by including AI
Though if you're looking to get into AI, a less saturated space would be the image generation space. Evoke provides a great API for that.
Thanks. Main focus of wrample is to more easily create content for sharing, so the ChatGPT API is very tempting. Reason I restrain myself from it now is to not bloat the first version with too many elements that draw away from the core.
Evoke is interesting, but in my case it would be a saas for a saas.
(By the way, you might want to restrict the max width of your site... stretches side to side on a curved widescreen!) 👀
Oh I see! What's the main way users create content on Wrample? Do they use AI already? I think AI content gen, esp with image gen, would be interesting, but you're right about not overloading features.
