After 5 months of development and growth, we finally transitioned WriteMore into a subscription-based model and gave all existing users a 30 day free trial (plus a 50% discount as a thank you for their easy support) before they'll be required to choose a paid subscription option.

The 30 day trial we started all existing users on doesn't end until June 28th, so we really didn't expect to see a subscription come in until at least later this month....

But, to our surprise, we woke up today to OUR FIRST SUBSCRIBER. It's a small accomplishment, and never in my life did I expect to be so excited about $1.99 - but it marks a huge milestone for all of us at WriteMore.

To build a web app completely from scratch and to have a paid user within just 6 months of launching is something we all are very proud of.

It certainly reinvigorates our motivation and we are excited to continue improving on WriteMore so we can offer an ever improving product moving forward.

In just 4 months since our initial launch, we've now hit 1M words written with WriteMore and 2,000 sign ups! The growth of the WriteMore community has been incredible, and we couldn't have done it without your support, ideas, and constant feedback.

Our writers are logging in around the world from over 70 countries and counting!

New Releases
Collections: You may have noticed a new feature within Pages called “collections”. Collections will allow writers to group individual pages together - essentially just like folders on a desktop. We plan to expand on this in the near future with collection specific features.
Public Writing Space: The Public Writing Space group is open to everyone. Writers are free to share their work, browse through submitted entries, and provide feedback via comments.

It's been a lot of fun for our Team to work on this project, and we're excited to push forward and see what this becomes.

Our Team at WriteMore has made a lot of progress lately...

Most notably - we have officially hit 1,000 sign ups on WriteMore.io! This was a huge milestone for our team, and we're excited to have achieved this in just TWO MONTHS since launching.

Moreover, we have some exciting updates and new features coming soon.

-Writing groups: Can be found in the social page. Invite your friends and join groups created by others. Share your work in real time, offer comments, and engage with others.
-Badges: Check out our new badges page to see all you can earn. Badges can currently be earned on words written, hours spent writing, goal streaks, writing days, and more coming soon.

-Classroom Groups: Are you a writing teacher or instructor? Are you looking for a fun website to manage your classroom and keep track of all of your pupils' progress? In the next 2-4 weeks, we intend to have a classroom feature ready for you!
-Prompt Categories: We're striving to construct a much larger database of prompts for our users, which will be far more categorized by genre/purpose!

When we initially launched on Jan 6, we made a conservative but big goal to reach 100 sign ups by the end of January. To our surprise and with very little advertising (instagram page made, twitter bot, small google ad) we reached 100 in just 12 days!
