Writers Compound
WC is the online home for people who love written content.
As of today, we have 11 writers who have published at least one post on Writers Compound in the last 2 weeks. Overall, we have 40 posts on WC so far from the community. All of the community posts are listed here: https://app.writerscompound.com/view_posts
Within a day of MVP launch, WC garnered 51 app signups (out of the 185 early access subscribers who received the access) who went through the full onboarding and set up a profile on WC. I had very modest expectations and was happy to see these results!

Finally finished my Bubble MVP that includes features like user signup, intentions page, profile page, the ability to post a new essay, read the community posts and comment on others' essays.
Here is the link to the web app: (built without code)

This went out to 185 early access subscribers. It was an exciting launch!

While my Bubble MVP journey was taking its sweet time (as a nontechnical maker, Bubble was incredibly hard to master quickly), I believed I could launch an "interview" feature where I chat with some prolific writers and summarize lessons, tips and learnings. The first interview was with Anne-Laure Le Cunff and it went live on Jan 24th, 2020 to a really positive response to 106 early access subscribers.

Despite it being a slow Holiday week, WC managed to attract 100 people to signup for early access on the landing page within 2 weeks. There were no heavy promotions or distribution. It was all organic traffic to the page from my tweets and conversion thereafter. Was very excited to now start building the v1 using Bubble.

Within a day, I shipped a quick landing page on Webflow to test the initial response for the idea. I posted it on Twitter. It went really well, got a bunch of DMs and ended up with 40 sign-ups on Day1. Here is the landing page: http://writerscompound.com/

As I was winding down all my side-projects towards the end of 2019, I wanted to build a new product that challenged me and simultaneously helped people become better at something. Previously, as a non-dev nocoder, I only shipped projects that didn't involve users, account management, automated emails, text editors and other complex functionality. I wanted to go to the next level of no-code and ship a web app that had all the previously mentioned features and helped writers. I chose writing because I've been a writer and I know the intricacies of writing as someone who shipped 600+ articles over the years. There are many inefficiencies in writing (it's a lonely task, no quick feedback mechanism, lacks support from other peers etc) and I wanted to fix them with my platform: WRITERS COMPOUND.
