writeyay

This tool is for IELTS test takers who have trouble improving their writing. The idea for this project stemmed from my own experience. Since my family decided to immigrate to Canada in 2019, I’ve had to take the IELTS exam several times, as many immigration programs assess candidates based on their language proficiency. I struggled for a long time to improve my writing. While a writing coach can be extremely helpful, I found their services too costly for long-term use. I realized that many others might face the same challenge, so I wondered: why not leverage cutting-edge AI technology to make essay evaluations more accessible? Therefore, I came up with this simple tool that includes total score, break down scores and summaries in four key areas: Task Achievement, Coherence and Cohesion, Lexical Resource, and Grammatical Range and Accuracy. Moreover, it provides suggestions for each sentence to make it sound more natural. Users can also download analysis result to local.
