Building a Social Media Platform at 18 solo
Most social platforms reward attention. I want to reward creativity.
That's why I'm building WRYVERSE, a social platform for writers, artists, designers, musicians, filmmakers, and other creatives to connect, collaborate, and showcase their work without feeling like they have to chase algorithms.
I don't come from a computer science background. Every feature has been a learning experience, and I've rebuilt parts of the product more than once.
The MVP is live, beta users are joining, and I'm learning something new every day.

Building a social platform is hard enough—doing it at 18 is impressive. One thing I'd be careful about is making sure creators have a reason to stay even before there's a big community. The first users need to get value without relying on network effects.
