What it lacks is accessible infrastructure.
For an independent filmmaker, turning an idea into a finished project can mean finding funding, assembling a team, managing production, protecting intellectual property, finding distribution, and eventually reaching an audience. Each part often requires a different platform, company, or network.
We started building XINI8 because we believe this can work differently.
XINI8 is an attempt to build an AI-powered media infrastructure layer that connects creators, financing, production, distribution, and audiences in one ecosystem.
We’re not trying to become another streaming platform. We’re interested in building the infrastructure around the creator economy and making the entire journey easier to navigate.
We’re still early. The product is being built, tested, and changed constantly. There are many things we don’t know yet, and that’s part of the reason we’re sharing the journey on Indie Hackers.
We’ll document what we build, what fails, what we learn, and how the idea evolves.
