Yana App
Embed widget for contextual help, feedback and analytics
In November, our main objective was to meet people from our target group (Product Owner, Product Manager, VP Product, Head of Product, CEO).
We finally managed to physically meet 60 people and make about 20 calls.
How did we do it?
We contacted the people in our target group via LinkedIn by offering them lunch, coffee or beer. The response rate was surprisingly high: 50%.
The main objective of this meeting was to listen to them and understand their difficulties. At the end of these meetings, we talked to them about Yana App and asked them for their sincere and honest opinion.
We loved these exchanges, they were very beneficial for us: we were able to validate our vision and ensure our product-market-fit while expanding our network and in a qualitative way.
Of course, we will continue this process because it is the key to prospecting for us.
Have a good weekend!
This article explains the problems faced by one of our founders when she was Product Owner and how it made her want to create Yana App!
If you want to know more about Yana App and the issues that this product answers, have a look here : https://yana-app.com/blog-article-why-yana.html!
And if you want to try Yana App, feel free to sign up to our app from the same website!
As always, your feedback is very appreciated!
Good Friday Indies!

Hi, it's not clear for me, if your product is ready or it's just a landing page?

Hi, thanks for your message!
Yana App is already up in Beta mode. The access is free for now! But we still are working on the product developement!-

Cool, if it's a working product and if it can be used in SaaS (what is the case from my understanding), would you like to add it to our catalog of tools and resources helping SaaS founders to launch and run their apps? See here www.saasgearbox.com
We are pretty fresh too :))-

Hi,
No problem to add Yana App in your catalog SaasGearBox. And good luck for your beginning :))
I'm just curious: what is your business model for Saas Gearbox? How are you going to make money? Is it like a BetaList specialized in SaaS Products?-

Thanks!
I have several ideas on monetization but it's too early even to try it. The idea is to give paid users more opportunities to tell about their products to create more awareness.

Finally! Our first Beta version called Avocado is online!
The development of this MVP took us 2 months and a half. 2 months and a half very dense but so exciting! 2 months and a half that have been the busiest months of our lives but we think that this is just the beginning! Developing Yana App, testing Yana App, discussing Yana App with customers, dreaming about Yana App, and so on!
Summarizing what we have learned in the past 2 months is a difficult task since we learned more during this period than in the past 7 years! Entrepreneurship is such a wonderful experience! But maybe the biggest learning is stress control and organization.
So, now?
The idea now is to have as much feedback as possible on our product to make it evolve in the right direction relative to the needs of our customers.
A hundred people have already signed up to the waitlist for this version! We are now enlarging a bit our user's circle.
Today we are launching the pilot phase! The first 50 registrants will be able to try Yana App for free with our early bird community. In a few weeks, we will open the version more widely to all (always free for now!).
Don’t hesitate to go to our website: https://yana-app.com, to click on “Get started for free”, to register and to use Yana App as you see fit.
Then, please give us your feedback (good and bad), it really helps us!
Thank you for reading!
Look forward to sharing!

It took us 2 months to have a clear idea of where we wanted to go for Yana App and 2 weeks to be able to launch our landing page!
We are very happy of this first step in this exciting adventure!
Please, feel free to leave us your feedback!
Stay in touch, our MVP will be released soon!

Hey Yana team
Great looking site! Aesthetically I have no concerns. I do think though, that the copy in the header could be better. It's a little unclear to me what you actually do.
Otherwise, nice site.

Hi Nic!
Many thanks for your help!
You're right, we have a lot of feedback like yours. We have to be clearer on the copy, we are working on it!
Thank you!

Hey there –
The visuals are pleasing at first; maybe some inconsistencies in border radiuses of some elements though (e.g. email capture input and the "beta" round corners don't quite match). But more importantly I would suggest you rethink the hero copy to be more clear on what your app does. "Create a real team" wasn't clear to me.
A good copy describes your app in simple terms.I didn't understand what your app does tbh, is it a widget your customer embeds in their web app to open help content? Perhaps a more illustrative screenshot / animation could clarify that?
Hope this helps, good luck!

Hello!
Thank you very much for your feedback. This is very helpful !
We've change the beta position, maybe it's better now ?About the hero copy, we have a lot of feedback similar to yours. So yes, definitely we have to rethink our hero copy! We are working on it!
Btw, you are right: Yana App is a widget our customer embed in his web app to have help content contextualized (for example: "Hey ! Did you know that you can also export in PDF when exporting in Excel?") but also feedback collection.
And yes! We will add a screenshot of this widget to clarify that! Many thanks, again

Hi Adrien or Nathalie,
Your site is very aesthetically pleasing. Is your site marketed towards startups? The grammatical mistakes on the site are a bit distracting and hurt your legitimacy. Would suggest getting an editor to double-check the grammar before sending out to more people.
Other than that seems like a great service.
Cheers!

Hi David,
Thanks a lot for your help!
Your're right, we ask a native to make a revision of our landing page. And we have applied the correction.
Hope is better now!
Have a nice day!
