I launched Yaqenee — a modern Islamic app built as a solo founder

After months of design, development, testing, and refinement, I recently launched Yaqenee on Google Play.

I built it because many Muslims need several different apps for Quran reading, Athkar, prayer times, Qibla, Hadith, Tasbeeh, Islamic calendar, and daily spiritual reminders.

My goal was to combine these tools into one calm, modern, Arabic-first experience that also supports English and works offline for many core features.

Yaqenee currently includes:

• Quran reading

• Authentic Athkar

• Prayer times

• Qibla direction

• Digital Tasbeeh

• Hadith collections

• Islamic calendar

• Daily wisdom and reflections

• Progress and habit tracking

The biggest challenge was not only building the features, but making the experience feel simple, respectful, reliable, and comfortable for daily use.

I am now focused on improving retention, gathering honest feedback, and finding sustainable organic growth channels without relying on a large advertising budget.

I would genuinely appreciate feedback from other founders:

• What would you improve first?

• How would you market a niche consumer app organically?

• What metrics should I prioritize during the first months?

One thing I'd pay close attention to is the difference between feature completeness and becoming part of someone's daily routine.

For a product people use every day, retention usually comes from earning a place in an existing habit rather than adding another feature. That's the signal I'd probably optimize around first.
