July 19, 2019 We got featured on ProductHunt homepage!

And yes this happened! After one day of posting Yester into ProductHunt, we got a bunch of UpVotes and great rounds of feedback.

Today we found out that we also got featured in the home page! This is getting a lot of traction to our website and more important to our app. We're getting a lot of kudos from the UI and the idea itself.

That's an awesome idea! how much is for the monthly subscription? I don't think I can find it in neither the landing nor the mobile download pages. Also I think you need to update the SUBSCRIPTION PRICING AND TERMS section for your android page, it still mentions 1-Month free trial. A nitpick for the landing page is that the purple-filled color given to the Apple AppStore button is more dominant than that of the Google Playstore button. The App UI looks appealing btw!

Hi @egan thanks for your feedback. The monthly subscription is $4.99 and a 7 day trial for free. Thanks for the heads up on the copy for the android page, we'll update it right away.

July 18, 2019 We reached our 100+ users milestone!

Today it was a little bit insane in our HQ. Not only we got finally launched in Product Hunt, we also achieved our 100+ users milestone!

It has been quite a rollercoaster ride to get here, with its ups and downs, but let me tell you, it has been so far the ride of our lives and we are loving it!

June 25, 2019 We got a fresh new landing page

We know that having a great look and feel in our services have been one of the core values of our product since ever. From the very first day we decided that we wanted to craft a beautiful product with a great experience.

The landing page we had before was one that we created in a hurry just to fulfill AppStore requirements.

Now, we can say we are proud of the new and fresh one that we got. You can take a look here https://www.yester.app/

June 21, 2019 Launched our first MKT campaign!

We partnered with some friends that have a lot of knowledge in the marketing area. My wife helped us with the visual ads and we finally got our campaign launched!

It is such a strange feeling to see people interact with it and giving us comments about Yester. So far, the campaign is doing good but we are tracking every data in order to gather all the quantitative and qualitative data to pivot our product in the way our users want it to be.

May 3, 2019 Got our first paying customer!

We have had a bunch of bumps down this path. Some of them had been exciting and others just made us think we were doing things all wrong.

But, nothing compares to the fact that a person in other part of the world, found value in the product you have worked days and nights with sweat and tears. And the most grateful thing to add to this, is that this person gave us their money in reward.

There are so many things we want to improve in our path, but definitely this will be a day to remember.

March 1, 2019 Approved by the AppStore

After so many rounds of back and forth revisions, we finally got our approval from the Apple AppStore.

I know this is a common situation for new apps like ours, but this really bumped and crashed all of our timelines. Even if you plan ahead of time for all sort of situations, there are so many that you have to be prepared to tackle, especially the ones that our out of your control.

But we finally made it!

Congratulations! The app looks really nice and the screenshots look beautiful. Is there a specific tool you used to make them?

Thank you, @yehudabrickman. We used Adobe Illustrator to make the illustrations, and the rest of the UX/UI was made in Adobe XD for the MVP.

December 2018 Finished MVP

It took 8 months or so, but we are finally done building the minimum viable product for Yester.

We worked in our spare times, after office in my apartment. We had no fund other than our salaries to maintain the momentum going. My wife helped us with the UI design, I did mostly all the UX, content and IA, and Luis (Co-Founder) did all the magic in the code.

In hindsight, there were a few features we built that probably could've waited until later. But we are excited to start talking to customers and see what they think about the product so far!

June 16, 2018 Came up with the idea

At this point I was working at PayPal and knew that I wanted to build something for myself. So we got together with a friend and Co-Founder and decided to give it a try in a brainstorm session.

At this point we pivoted on so many ideas and found a perfect one based on one story from his grand parent. This was the way Yester was born as an idea, thinking how to create a memoir app for the elderly and maintain their legacy within the digital world!
