June 8, 2022 Got my first sale

I haven't really focused much on promotion. I just posted here and to friends in facebook.

Uptick is since launch downloads has been consistent but average. I'll invest more in marketing once I get the additional feature implemented in the next few days.

June 6, 2022 Just launched MVP

Got the basic MVP approved now live in the App Store. I actually used the pomodoro technique in the app POC to finish the build. Works for iPhone and iPad.

It may actually be the fastest app I built and also the fastest to be approved after submission.

Will add the extra task management features in future updates.

May 15, 2022 Why Build Another Pomodoro Timer?

Been using Pomodoro technique for several years now from a saas application that comes with kanban. I haven't found one that works well in mobile that I like, either it is too complicated, too many unwanted features and just seem cluttered.

I had done it before where I scratched my own itch and build something that I would use. This project is one of those. Meant to be for my use, if others see value in the product and I can build upon that.

Maybe just personal preferences. I just want it simple like the IOS clock timer. But with the added benefits of having the 25/5/15 focus and break interval that is easy to setup. Had the basic POC built and been using the timer itself during development to finish the rest of the app. It works for me and able to achieve my MVP quickly.

I guess too many pomodoro apps in market and looks saturated to make money.

Maybe explain a bit better which other apps are too complicated, have too many (which?) unwanted features and just seem cluttered and what you do differently.

And I wonder if there is data how many pomodoro apps are making money. (You say it's for own use, but still.) I read about pomodoro but never tried. And I have the impression that every week there is a new pomodoro app on product hunt.

About

None of the existing apps seems to have the right balance, either it is too complex, too many unwanted features. This app is meant to be simple and easy to use but still get things done.
