YNK
Web-based music discovery platform
Hey everyone,
I’m George, the founder of **YNK (You Never Know)** — a swipe-based music discovery platform designed to instantly connect independent music artists and composers with industry scouts, curators, and avid listeners.
Think "Tinder meets SoundCloud" for uncovering fresh talent across all musical genres (from indie rock and electronic to hip-hop and classical).
**🎵 Check out the live app here:** https://ynkmusic.live
### 🛠️ The Tech & Stack:
* **The Stack:** Built using Lovable (React, Tailwind CSS, Supabase backend). The code is completely clean, hosted, and production-ready.
* **Status:** Fully functional MVP. Features separate onboarding paths for Composers, Listeners, and Scouts.
* **The Interface:** Designed for quick audio swiping, making music discovery addictive and highly visual.
### 💰 The Monetization Blueprint:
I want to target the B2B/Industry side first. While listeners and musicians join for free, our core revenue model relies on **Premium Scout Subscriptions**. Industry scouts and A&Rs will pay a monthly fee to unlock:
1. Unlimited swiping and deep filtering (by specific genres, mood, or location).
2. Direct messaging channels to scout and sign composers before anyone else.
### ❓ What I Need in a Partner:
I am managing the product build entirely through Lovable, but I need a **Growth Marketer / Business Co-Founder** to take over user acquisition and monetization strategy. Your primary focus will be:
* Growth-hacking organic content (TikTok/Reels/Shorts) to bring musicians to the platform.
* Reaching out to indie curators, small record labels, and scouts to convert them into premium users.
### 💼 The Deal:
I am looking for an equal equity partner who is passionate about music tech and the creator economy. If you know how to build a community and drive a B2B SaaS subscription funnel from 0 to 1, let's connect!
Drop a comment or DM me to check out the platform and discuss the split.
About
I created YNK to solve modern music discovery fatigue by giving listeners seamless, intelligent way to discover new tracks, explore audio content, and connect with fresh music outside of traditional recommendation loops.

The B2B-first model is interesting because the scout subscription seems closely tied to how much quality supply is already available.
I’d be curious which side you see as the harder constraint right now: getting enough artists in, or getting scouts to care once they’re there.
