Automate employee sentiment surveys through Slack
In 2010 myself and four friends tried starting a co-working space. We had a vision for an event space, community organization and other functions all combining in a physical location. We did everything backwards, failed elegantly and had a heck of a time doing it. Even though we failed, a few of the things we worked on had value being recycled into something else.
We had decided to name the space Yorco (after significant brainstorming) and found yor.co unused but with an owner in China. I reached out in a cold email. To our shock they responded a few days later. After some negotiation they agreed to sell and we settled on a price. We just needed to send over the payment. Everything went smooth and we made briefly used it for a business that was never off the ground.
I hung onto the URL (and twitter handle) for the last 8 years. Glad I did and glad it's being used again.
Giving Yorco more time recently. Stoked on narrowing in on helping businesses create channels of feedback with open and honest dialog. Making people matter most.
