February 5, 2020 Published our first newsletter today!

After growing our waitlist we finally published our first newsletter today. So far open rate has been 29% and CTR of 2.2%. Curious if people have good benchmarks for email and newsletter open and CTRs

Also, we did get some opt-outs :( Does anyone have strategies on how to manage or bring those folks back?

Mailchimp has some stats that might be interesting: https://mailchimp.com/resources/email-marketing-benchmarks/

Your stats don’t mean much without knowing how many people you sent it to. If it’s early days I wouldn’t get too caught up in the stats.

Re opt outs, I’d just move on. If it wasn’t for them, it wasn’t for them. Don’t worry about them unless you start to see big increases in opt outs. If you know the people or are connected to them on twitter or other social then you could reach out and ask why.

      Awesome, thank you

January 28, 2020 First partnership blog post

Hi everyone, we partnered with a resume writing company, Let's Eat Grandma, to help build the word out about our product launch and the resources we can offer career switchers. It was a great way to drive more waitlist signups and build the brand.

November 18, 2019 Launched marketing site

Today we launched our marketing site with two goals in mind: build a waitlist for our product and a community around Zeit.

We built the site in webflow and are using mailchimp for email collection. It's a big milestone to get Zeit in the hands of the right job seekers!

This sounds great. So hard to manage the combinations of people. Hope to see good things! I myself have had jobs in theatre, online video, broadcast tv, software, hospitality, tourism... and can't imagine there's a single job for me out there.
