June 3, 2026 Meet Zirano Finance: The AI-Powered CFO Tool Built for Founders Who Have Better Things to Do Than Bookkeeping

If you're a founder, solopreneur, or small business owner, here's a situation you probably recognise: it's the end of the month, you have a vague sense of whether your business is making money, and somewhere on your to-do list — below a dozen more urgent things — is "sort out the finances."

Bookkeeping is one of those tasks that everyone knows matters and almost nobody enjoys doing. Traditional accounting software hasn't helped. QuickBooks and Xero were built for accountants, not founders. They're powerful, but that power comes with a steep learning curve, a complex interface, and a monthly bill that climbs as your needs grow.

We built Zirano Finance to fix that. Here's what it does — and why it's different.

What Zirano Finance Actually Is

Zirano Finance is an AI-powered CFO tool designed for founders, solopreneurs, startups, and small businesses. Instead of giving you a complicated ledger to maintain, it gives you a clear, real-time picture of your financial health — and then tells you in plain English what it means and what to do about it.

Think of it less like accounting software and more like having a knowledgeable CFO on call, available whenever you need one, at a fraction of the cost.

The Core Features

AI Transaction Categorization

Upload a bank statement CSV or drop in a PDF — Zirano's AI reads it, extracts every transaction, and categorizes them automatically. Software subscriptions go under Software & Tools. Stripe payouts become Subscription Revenue. Google Ads spend is filed under Marketing. You review the suggestions in one click and confirm. What used to take an hour takes about two minutes.

Real-Time P&L and Cash Flow

Your profit and loss statement is always current — not a snapshot from last month's manual entry, but a live view updated every time you add a transaction. You can see your revenue, expenses, and net profit for any period, broken down by category, with a trend line showing where things are heading.

Cash Runway Calculator

This is the feature founders come back to most. Enter your current cash balance and Zirano calculates exactly how many months of runway you have based on your actual burn rate — not a rough estimate, but a figure derived from your real transaction history. Toggle between three scenarios: base (current burn), optimistic (burn down 20%), and pessimistic (burn up 20%). The chart updates instantly.

Adam — Your Virtual CFO

Every week, Adam — Zirano's virtual CFO — delivers a set of plain-English observations about your finances. Not raw data. Actual insights, in first person, with specific numbers cited.

"I noticed your AWS costs jumped $142 this month, up from $89 last month. Worth auditing unused services before next billing cycle."

"Your MRR grew 8.2% this month — you're on track for $200k ARR by Q4 if this holds."

Adam's insights are powered by Claude, Anthropic's AI, and are generated fresh each week from your actual financial data.

Professional Invoicing

Create and send branded invoices directly from Zirano. Your company logo, your payment terms, your client details — all pulled automatically from your company profile. Send invoices by email directly from the platform, track paid vs. outstanding, and get automatic overdue flags when clients are late. Invoice PDFs include your branding alongside the Zirano mark, so they look professional from day one.

PDF Bank Statement Import

Don't have a CSV export? No problem. Drop in a PDF bank statement and Zirano's AI extracts every transaction automatically. Receipts work too — single-transaction PDFs are detected and logged individually. You review a confidence-rated table of extracted transactions before anything is imported.

Cap Table Management

On the CFO plan, you can track your full cap table — shareholders, share classes, ownership percentages, investment amounts, and funding rounds — in one clean view. A built-in dilution simulator lets you model new share issuances before you issue them: "What happens to everyone's ownership if I raise a $500k angel round at 10% dilution?" The answer updates in real time.

Investor-Ready Reports

One click generates a clean PDF financial summary — P&L, cash flow, key metrics, and an AI-written executive narrative — formatted for investors and your board. Share it directly via a unique link or download it as a PDF. The narrative is written in context, citing your actual numbers: "Q2 revenue grew 34% quarter-over-quarter, driven primarily by expansion in the Founder plan tier."

Fundraising Assistant

When you're ready to raise, Zirano's fundraising tools pull from your actual financial data to generate a valuation model, a data room checklist, and a first-draft financial narrative. Not generic templates — documents grounded in your real MRR, growth rate, burn multiple, and runway.

Financial Statements

Generate a proper income statement, cash flow statement, and balance sheet from your transaction data, with export to PDF and CSV. Each statement carries a clear disclaimer that it's generated from your data and not audited — because honesty matters more than looking impressive.

What It Costs

Zirano Finance has three plans:

Starter — Free forever. Dashboard, transaction tracking, CSV import and export. No credit card required. A genuine free tier, not a crippled trial.

Founder — $19/month or $95/year (launch price). Everything in Starter, plus unlimited transactions, AI categorization, Adam's CFO insights, P&L reporting, forecasting, budget tracking, runway calculator, invoicing, and PDF bank statement import.

CFO — $49/month or $245/year (launch price). Everything in Founder, plus investor reports, fundraising assistant, cap table management, industry benchmarking, and the Zirano Score — a 0–100 financial health rating updated automatically as your data changes.

Annual plans are currently 50% off at launch. Standard pricing will apply from the second year.

Who It's For

Zirano Finance is built for anyone who needs financial clarity without a finance team. That includes:

  • SaaS founders tracking MRR, burn, and runway

  • Solopreneurs who need professional invoicing and basic bookkeeping

  • Early-stage startups preparing for their first fundraise

  • Freelancers juggling multiple clients and income streams

  • Small businesses that have outgrown spreadsheets but aren't ready for QuickBooks

If you've ever opened your accounting software and closed it again because it felt like too much, Zirano is probably what you were looking for.

Getting Started

Setup takes about five minutes. Create an account, set your starting cash balance, and import your first bank statement — CSV or PDF. Zirano's AI handles the categorization. Adam will have his first insight for you within the week.

The free plan has no expiry and no credit card requirement. Start there. Upgrade when it makes sense.

You named the right frame and then buried your best asset. "Less like accounting software, more like a CFO on call" is exactly right, and positioning against QuickBooks and Xero built for accountants, not founders, is the correct enemy. But then the post becomes an eleven-feature list, categorization, P&L, invoicing, cap table, fundraising, statements, and the single thing that makes you a CFO instead of a ledger gets lost in the middle of it: Adam.

Adam is the product. "A virtual CFO who messages you every week in plain English with what your numbers mean and what to do about it" is the one thing no bookkeeping tool has, and the one thing worth paying for. The categorization, the P&L, the imports are not the product, they are how Adam knows enough to be useful. You even told us the runway calculator is the feature people come back to most, which means your two heroes are already obvious: Adam for the insight, runway for the anxiety. Lead with those two, and let the other nine be "and it also does."

One caution as you grow: eleven features at $19 means you are quietly competing with QuickBooks and Carta and a fundraising consultant all at once, and each one invites a comparison to a specialist you do not need to be in. Your moat is not breadth, it is Adam getting smarter on the founder's own data every week. One question decides the homepage: do people stay for the clean books, or for the weekly message from Adam that tells them something they did not know? Because the second is the CFO, and it is the only part a spreadsheet can never copy.

Thanks for the feedback! Super useful, and I will definitely take this into account as we refine the product/messaging. Super helpful!

Congrats on shipping this, Anthony. The runway calculator with three scenarios is genuinely useful, most tools show one static number and call it done. I'm the founder of FounderFlow, we're solving a similar "too many signals, not enough clarity" problem but on the operations side instead of finance, so I get why you built Adam to surface a few things that matter instead of a wall of numbers. Curious which single insight users act on most, in my experience with founders juggling more than one business it's rarely the metric they expected.

I like that you call out overdue flags instead of hiding them inside bookkeeping, that was the part freelancers around me kept missing. I tried spreadsheets first, then plain QuickBooks reminders, now I'm building ChaseFlow around the awkward reminder-2 step after the invoice is already sent, ngl that narrow pain still feels underbuilt.

Will definitely check it out. Maybe there's an opportunity for us to collaborate/offer some ChaseFlow integrations!

    Congrats on the launch, Anthony.

The product has a lot inside it, but that may also be the main positioning risk right now.

You’re describing bookkeeping, AI CFO insights, runway, invoicing, cap table, investor reports, fundraising support, statements, and benchmarking. All useful, but for a founder landing on this cold, it may feel like too many reasons to buy at once.

The sharper angle is probably not “AI-powered CFO tool” broadly. It is the specific moment where a founder feels financially blind and needs a clear answer fast.

Something like: “Know your runway, burn, and financial health without learning accounting software.”

That keeps it founder-first instead of accountant-first.

I’d be careful that the page does not make Zirano feel like QuickBooks with AI added. The stronger frame is probably financial clarity for founders who do not want to become bookkeepers.

Happy to put a tighter version in writing if useful. The useful part would be narrowing the first buyer, sharpening the main promise, and tightening the launch/homepage message so the product feels simpler than the feature list.

Aryan, these are amazing insights and I would love to chat through them a bit more. How can we connect?

      1. 1

        Appreciate that, Anthony.

Send me your email and I’ll write the tighter version properly instead of crowding the thread.

The main thing I’d focus on is narrowing Zirano from “AI CFO with many features” into the first financial clarity moment that makes a founder care immediately.

            Just sent it over, Anthony.

I kept it focused on the main positioning decision we discussed: making Zirano feel like one clear founder-finance pain instead of a broad finance feature bundle.

We built Zirano Finance because bookkeeping is a chore that everyone knows matters but almost nobody enjoys doing. It exists to give founders a clear, real-time picture of their financial health in plain English
