Zubtitle
Automatically add captions to any video
It's taken a little over two years but we just hit the $1m ARR mark. When we first started Zubtitle, it was just a simple pay-to-use captioning tool. The low cost was great for conversions but it was getting impossible to crack 10k MRR consistently. After watching our users create thousands of videos, we found most of them were following a very similar model by adding borders, titles, progress bars, and other video elements. We added those features over time, switched to a subscription model, and doubled down on helping people create these beautiful social videos as fast as possible. It was tough completely changing the product, pricing, and model but it turned out to be the right decision. Looking forward to a V3 launch in the coming months with a much more polished design and more editing features.

Adding captions to videos is a huge pain in the ass. Zubtitle makes this easy by transcribing audio and automatically generating open captions for any video.

Nice project
I'm starting a product soon so was browsing products around
I'm just curious, At the moment I can see sharp drop in the revenue based on indiehackers graph
any reasons for that?
That data isn’t correct. We’re at 105k MRR right now. About 20% down from all time high thanks to not being able to outpace 7% churn. Things are picking back up though!
Amazing job, guys. It's astonishing to hear that a 20 min video subtitling company could amass anywhere around $80,000 MRR. Impressive?
So, adding borders, titles and progress bars is what brought you there? What kind of marketing did you do beside IH?
Why does your Stripe verified revenue only say: "Zubtitle generated $2.4K in revenue in the last 30 days.". That is far lower than what you claim. I'm not really sure why people like to mislead on IH like this.
This must be a bug with IH'ers Stripe integration bc the metrics are incorrect. You can tell by looking at the graph below.
