Hello awesome IH community!
It's Lisa here, maker & marketer.
Somewhere in August, I joined WeLoveNoCode (no-code startup). Firstly I was a mentor, and soon became a Head of Marketing. Since August we were working a lot with product marketing, community & content, growth, and paid channels.
Today I'm super excited that we have grown our MRR to $230K MRR, which is a 2.7Million in ARR 🎉
WeLoveNoCode helps startups, agencies, and SMBs build any product faster and more affordable with the power of no-code. We match awesome companies with awesome no-code developers and it works :)
My biggest takeaway as a Head of Marketing and ex-founder is that you need to solve a very painful customer need on the big growing market better than any other player. Sound obvious, right?
Marketing is a fuel that drives the product with PMF to the right users with the right message via the right marketing channels. Great marketing, led by a strong team, will supercharge product with PMF. And if you add here a fast-growing market, like no-code, you will receive a hyper-growth.
Congrats on the milestone. Whats your margin / profit on $230k revenue?
Thats awesome, I have stumbled across your company while researching something for my needs, and I am glad to see you are one of the fellow members of this awesome community. Congrats about your success!
thanks a lot!!! I like IH, it's a very cool place to be!
congrats on the milestone @LisaDziuba
thanks 🔥🔥
Hey, Liza! Amazing milestone! You’re absolutely killing it!
What’s the hardest part about working as a Head of Marketing in WeLoveNoCode?
This
is
so
hard
🔥
Really, I have tons of interviews, calls, chats and less than 1% of people meet needed requirements. Let's say you need 400 marketing candidates to have 4 for consideration. And it's pretty hard to get for a startup. From those 4 "best" candidates you need to match your abilities and candidates expectations. Also, you need to do it faster than other companies.
Thanks again for your nice words!
Lisa, thanks for sharing your pain points!
I know, it’s a big deal, but you can do it!
congratulations and I want to know that how you come up with ideas and how you find audience ?
The idea came to the founder, who spent a lot of money paying to developers :)
Audience comes to marketing:
growth projects, like free Figma pitch deck templates or PR base of journalists, anything which is useful for our users;
gated content, like e-books
SEO/organic
"build-in-public" tackit
paid channels: Google Ads, Linkedin ads
influencer marketing (just started)
GTM + Product Hunt
Congrats!
thank you 🎉
Keep growing, WLNC team.
yeap, working on it day and night!
Yes.
Btw, any fresher vacancy you have? I am comfortable with internship also.
I have experience in SEO.
Thanks for asking!
How many years working in SEO do you have?
It's really hard hiring in marketing for the fast-growth startup, as you should do stuff super fast and know hot to do it.
I have around 1 year of experience in SEO.
Particularly, I am interested for No Code role. In beginning, I am comfortable with internship also. Because, I can see the potential of this field.
I hope you understand my POV.
great job, @LisaDziuba 👏 ... what was your main growth strategy? how have you acquired your first members?
So far we work with:
growth projects, like free Figma pitch deck templates or PR base of journalists, anything which is useful for our users;
gated content, like e-books
SEO/organic
"build-in-public" tackit
paid channels: Google Ads, Linkedin ads
influencer marketing (just started)
GTM + Product Hunt
It was mostly direct outreach, a lot of social postings and Product Hunt.
Amazing 🎉 Great job to the WLNC team
Thank you!!!
very powerful! What obstacles were the hardest to solve?
Marketing attribution: identifying from which marketing channels we are getting leads.
WeLoveNoCode was a bit chaotic when I joined, many things were done super fast and analysing what actually works in marketing was suuuuper hard.
Great job, Lisa !!! :)
thank you, Nina!
Crazy growth! Well done, Lisa 💫
thanks 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Congrats!
thanks!
wow very impressive. Did you start at your current pricing? How did you first attract customers with such a high initial offer?
congrats on almost 3m arr
We started with $2K offer, now we are having options based on the tools and level of no-code developer experience. When you look on the price for the code development we are 6x more affordable :)
haha that's literally the opposite of what I thought your answer would be. I have this weird bad habit of thinking I should start my product at a very low offer to attract more customer. Also I would have no idea where to find users at that price range.
Thank you for the insight.
My first product was sold for $15 per license, which was insanely cheap! That was bad approach, I learned it a hard way.
