3 Easy Things You Can Learn From My First Viral LinkedIn Post (133k+ Views, 100+ Comments)

So here are the 3 things

1. Lists are great, especially if possible to link other Companies/LI Accounts

2. Be hyper-reactive when people engage comment & like each comment in a meaningful way

3. Value, value, value - Think what you can give without taking in return

But there's more to these 3 things.

I'll walk you through it with this short explanation:

I get it.

IndieHackers don't like LinkedIn.

In fact, I've even detoxed Linked for 3 months.
It's a terrible platform for attention hungry workers only posting their certificates and job promotions.

Or is it?

There's one simple truth you can't deny:

B2B Companies have to be were the music plays.

And the music happens to play on LinkedIn.

Which is why I've decided to start being active on the platform again to gain awareness for my website.

I've been posting since a bit over a year and most of my postings get little to no engagement.

Sometimes I even researched and wrote for 1-2h for one single post, which ended up getting no engagement at all

😩

But then I came up with a different ideas and ways to create content and now I cracked a viral nut.

So, I've come to realize, that it's crucial to find tactics that work (see list above) but most importantly as a person running a business, you should be where your target audience happens to be.

This can be any social media platform, or even at a local event.

Be there, listen and respond in a meaningful way.

My next question is, how can I translate this reach into an opportunity.

Such a simple thing, right? Just make a list and it will go viral!

Sometime yes :) I think a mix of easy to digest and detailed content is healthy.

Looking good Jess! Thanks for sharing.
    3. Value, value, value - Think what you can give without taking in return - this is spot on and accurate for every social media.

100% - I am really trying to take out my ego more in the future and just let content do the job. Cheers!

I was terrified of asking a lot of people for help when I started my first blog post and the post went viral. I was worried about the impression it would make on them and how they would react if they saw me asking for help. Visit this https://www.durovis.com/nl/board_topic_3686.html site for more tips. When I created the first post, I thought it was going to be a great way to get more traffic, but it ended up being much more than that! The post got shared by some of the biggest names in the tech industry (including Elon Musk), which really surprised me.
