From your experience, what's your best tip from launch on Reddit today? And what you'd avoid for next time?

    1. 2
      • Avoid ads, if you can remove them from your site completely.
      • Read each subreddits guidelines and don't try to bypass them
      • Check the best performance posts and try to mimic

Did you see an increase in traffic going to your main product because of this? Any conversion upticks?

    1. 1

I remove the ad for my main app when launching on Reddit because promotion usually kills your post.

I only added it recently and so far the results are great, about 100 signups.

Wow, nice! So what's the play here? Were you just trying to add more tips and votes to your database? Or do you have some monetization plan? Or was this just for fun? I'm always interested in how people capitalize on a surge of traffic like this.

I use the traffic spike to grow awareness and Twitter, which helped the app get #2 product of the day on Product Hunt.

I added promotion for Habits Garden recently and it's rising signups!

There is a bit of luck involved but the main thing is my app is free.

Redditors don't like to see ads, which results in poor performance

If you can remove the "paying" part of your app, it's better.

I deleted ads for my habit tracker when I launched on Reddit, and added therm after the storm.

          Good luck too~
